Miki didn't win Operation Triunfo, the National Selection of Spain, which was won by Famous, the favourite candidate to go to Eurovision. But, the song given to him didn't have a good welcome of his fans and finally, there were three of the songs competing to be the winners: Natalia Lacunza and Miki Nuñez with the song "Nadie Se Salva", María with the song "Muérdeme" and Miki Nuñez again with the song "La Venda".
The selection was won by Miki with a total of 34% of the votes, beating "Muérdeme" with 22% and "Nadie Se Salva" with 14%
