  • Tschaikowsky - Symphony Nº4



    The Symphony Nº 4 from Tschaikowsky is made in F minor. Its a classical song very well known in the Russian culture. It was created between 1877 and 1878 and it was performed as the first time by a Russian Musical Society in May 1878.

    The symphony has four parts in its composition, the first named "Andante Sostenuto" the second one named "Andantino", a "Scherzo" and the "Finale", which is the last composition.

  • Maurice Ravel - Shéhérazade



    All we know the history about the princess Shéhérazade, the Heroine of the "Arabian Nights" most known as the "One Thousands and one Nights". The compositor Maurice Ravel wanted to give her a present, creating this worlk in 1898.

    Ravel could never hear it, the composition was published in 1975. The pièce has three parts: one initial, a development of four themes and the final part which is the same than the initial one.

  • Edward Elgar - Cello Concerto

  • Benjamin Britten - War Requiem



    The classical music written by Benjamin Britten and named "War Requiem" that we present you now was composed between 1961 and 1962. It was made in honor to the new Cathedral from the United Kingdom, the "Coventry Cathedral" destroyed during the Second World War and reconstructed for that period. 

    Yes it is, the war is almost always present on the classical music and Benjamin Britten made the first concert of this composition in the new building.

  • Symphony nº5 - Beethoven



    More or less interested in Classical music, everyone heard at least once in life the "Symphony nº5" written by Beethoven, two centuries ago, between 1804 and 1808.

    The symphony was used after the Second World War by the allies like the "Victory Symphony".

    For our times, composers all around the world created some versions of this 5th symphony from Beethoven to give it a contemporary air (disco or rock and roll versions were used in films).

  • Richard Wagner - Der Ring des Nibelung



    It is not easy to describes the song "Der Ring des Nibelung" but Richard Wagner created a "epic music drama" that had this result. It is a piece of one hour of duration.

    it told the history of a magic ring that allows to the holder to control the world, yes, we know, we could be talking about the "Lord Of The Rings" but if we made the english translation of the title, it means "The ring of Nibelungs" which is not the same.
