Johnny Logan - Hold me now

Johnny Logan was born in Australia, but he move to Ireland with his father Patrick O'Hagen. This was the second time that Johnny won ESC, with the song Hold me now, a really beautiful song that even today we sing it and remember it.

Germany got the second place this year with a difference of 31 points and Italy the third one with even 38 points less than Germany.

22 participant on this year was a new record, and for that, the EBU gave by the first time a maximal number of participants in the ESC, 22. That was to guaranty the limit of 3 hours for the festival.
